How do I register for CU Online?
You, and all joint owners on your account, will need to sign an enrollment form. Ask a Member Service Representative for a home banking enrollment application during your next visit to the credit union, or contact us via email (general@1stccu.com)* or phone (608-269-8121 or 1-888-706-1228) and request that an application be mailed to you. Once all owners of the account have signed the enrollment application you may return it to the credit union in person or by mail and we will activate your enrollment within a day or two.
*E-mail is not secure and information can be read by others. Do not e-mail information such as passwords, social security numbers, account numbers, mother's maiden name, etc.
How do I access CU Online once I'm enrolled?
As soon as your account has been set up for online banking, you may log in to www.1stccu.com and click on the CU Online button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
Enter the first eight digits of your account number (with no dashes or spaces) as your user name Enter your Password - for your first log-in, this will be the social security number of the Primary Member listed on the account NOTE: After your first log-in you will be prompted to change your user name and password to something of your choosing for security reasons
Why am I being asked to choose a security image?
CU Online features Two-Factor Authentication; a 'second layer' of security to safeguard the privacy and security of your personal information. The first layer of protection is your user name and password. This second layer is a security image that you choose from 50 provided images. When you enter your user name your security image appears on the screen - this is a way for you to verify that you are at the correct site and not a phishing site.
To Set up Two-Factor Authentication: When you have completed this short setup process, you may view your account activity, make online transfers between accounts, make loan payments, view cleared checks, and more.
What if I can't access the Home Banking page?
If you are using an older version of a browser, you may have trouble accessing CU Online and enabling TLS 1.0 will fix the problem.
After you enable TLS 1.0, try to visit CU Online Banking again. If you are still having problems accessing CU Online after updating your TLS 1.0 setting, please give us a call and we will try to assist you.
What if I forgot my password?
If you enter the wrong password, one of the challenge questions that you chose during your initial setup of Two-Factor Authentication will appear. By answering the challenge question correctly (remember that answers are case-sensitive) you will gain access to your account. If you cannot remember your password, you should reset it once you've correctly answered the challenge question.
If you are having problems with your user name, password, or challenge question, you may call 1st Community Credit Union and speak to a Member Service Representative. After we verify your identity, we can assist you with resetting your online account access.
